The consensus tonight is this could be under prices @ 90points

Whilst its T4 and A 5+ is fairly low, the aura is just insane.

It effectively won both battles for me.

first battle against Eldar i was literally getting shot to death before i entered CC. The DoM got close due to a run. Eldar player moved back in his movement phase but missed 1 model. Result: unit failed save giving me enough wounds to beat off the incoming fire. Next turn i drift into 6inches of two units and both fail and get me to 10 points. This turned the battle from me loosing to winning.

The fact it has a warp field (invuln save 3+) is outrageous as well. This alone saved me against 2 instant death shots in two seperate games.

Second battle against CSM, again left unchecked (i invuln'd a doom bolt) it took out so many scoring troops it was silly. Even LD 10 was 50/50 on saves every turn.

That said, concentrated fire power will drop it fairly quickly i think. So if you meet them hit them from a distance with as much FP as possible because unfortunately its gets within 6in and your going to just feed its power.

we discussed this. in small games, its hideous, because you can't instant kill it. in a bigger game, it'll never make it across the table - the opponent will hit it with a barrage of kraks (or their armys equivalent) and tear it to shreds before it fires a shot. but the thing is... it only needs to fire 1 shot to make its points back. hence why my opponent realised its best use is to drop it in a spore pod as disposable artillery straight into the enemy force :p

agreed because of the terrain setup (alpha CoD) i could usebuildings effectivley to get close enough to move then run within 6nch of an opponent. But in an open battle unless you screen it with an MC it will go down fact.

As mentioned if it hadnt been for the distance miscalculation, the eldar player would have annihilated it just by moving enough to take the squad out of range.
