Hmm Owen to Man Utd. Not a bad signing in terms of price and it looks like he'll be on 20,000 - 40,000 wages - pretty low risk signing. Injuries are always a worry with Owen but he'll be playing in a squad system so won't be required to play every game, so he should be able to stay fit.
Still got plenty of cash left to strengten the midfield with a couple of really good signing (Van der Vaart and Juan Mata maybe...).

Yes, I do not think it's quite the risk that people are making it out to be if he's on a pay as you play deal. He'll do a job even if he's past it now and he is desperate. He still knows where the goal is. I, like most others here, am glad he is not back at Liverpool, the general view is that we'd rather have Voronin and give him a chance. Owen shafted us before (not quite as bad as McMoneyman) and he (unlike Tevez, who did not want to join us because of respect for the MU fans) only thinks about himself.

They don't count! The rivalry between LFC/MUFC is far greater and where money may be an issue I think he'd make himself very unpopular with the MU fans if he came to us whereas they laugh at City.

Arsenal fans starting to get worried?
Ade was overrated, but he's not yet been replaced (unless Bendner steps up) and Toure didn't have the best of seasons but he was still quality. With only one fairly unknown defender brought in so far.
Looks like another season of fighting for 4th rather than going for the league?

Not worried TBH.

Ade was pro sometimes but looked liked he couldn't be arsed most of the time, couldn't finish 9 times out of ten and was probably born offside. He looked lazy, demanded a pay rise or he was off then tried to sell himself around Europe anyway and wonders why we don't love him anymore.

Bendy has a ways to go but he works harder and doesn't have the ego that Ade does. 25m when we paid 7m or 8m is awesome. I'd be happy to get another striker in but perhaps Wenger will just play Arshavin up front.

I really like Toure and even though he's been out of sorts of late, I'm sorry to see him go. 14m or so is a good deal for a player we paid peanuts for and who's in the last year of his contract but it's a shame we're losing one of those experienced players we apparently don't have.

Hopefully Wenger will bring in a couple of players but the talent is there and we're due a bit of luck.

I still think you need some sort of quality central Midfielder to compliment Cesc, last season you had a few young players beginning with 'D' playing there - and none of them seems anything special. Maybe Ramsey will stepup this season though. A new Goalkeeper probably wouldn't go a miss either.
