A few problemns need a bit of help

upgraded to v 1.2 no spec forces here yet
Buildings bridges and other immobile objects only appear as solid white blocks until i get up close to em.
When i try to join a gamespy server it logs me into bfield multiplayer and i get the in game list not the one i tried to join on gamespy.
How the hell can you change your spawn point to squad leader or a diff base .

If, like me you have a naff graphics card (in my case a Geforce 5600 xt), then try lowering your settings to min and 100% draw distance, that helped me alot. I do get grass etc growing infront as I run along tho

I use the ingame multiplayer list of servers to join games, don't see the point of using gamespy as it only drops me to that list too.

To choose where to re-spawn, hit enter when dead and you should get the map with available spawn points including your squad leader.

im using a radeon 9600 dunno how much mem same at all settings resolutions/refresh rates i also get a flickering too like lightning if you see what i mean

Aye squad leader spawn point will show as a green dot, but you cannot spawn if he is dead.

my gfx with my 5600xt are naff on "foggy maps" although at certain angles my view looks great, but then when I look straight ahead the view goes crap again.

When selecting a server I cancel the server search at the start, and then in the box above the server names I type in "Multi" or "ea uk" and it filters to those servers, EA UK servers are fun. But the Multiplay servers have lots of regulars ,who you get to know

Sounds like a driver issue to me - I know a lot of Catalyst driver sets had some wierd texture problems with BF2, try grabbibg the latest and see if that helps (do a change of resolution/detail level after to force the game to reset shaders etc).

I spend most of my time playing on the 50klicks server - UK based and has sensible rules (i.e. encourages squads, discourages bunny hopping, dolphin diving, being a twat etc)

yeah, sounds like driver issues to me.

Playing mainly on EA UK servers myself primariliy for good pings, you using xfire nym? playing most nights myself.
