AA Question

Is info about your character saved server or client side? i.e. if I play from home, will the same stuff be available to me at work?

info saved with AA - can easily log on eg Kegs, Merly, et al on my machine.

Ive just downloaded AA , do i have to do all this training stuff ?

Cant i just be crap like in all the other games ?

Training seems to be easy so far m8, done 3 out of 4 and didn't even know how to fire the grenade launcher part of the gun yet still passed the US arms part of the training hmmmm *ponders this thought for a moment!*

So I'd say you/I could certainly pass the training and still be labeled crap hehe

You have to do the basic training, obstical course and Id do para stuff aswell matey. We are playing a para map tonight so youll need that .
The SF training needs to be done when you are lvl 15 or before if you want.
The medic stuff is optional though I think weve all done that bar Gravl.

Done the training, erm what should I do next?

I think the next thing 'along' looks like Missions? I chose that and it brought up a list of servers?? Thought it would be hmm single player missions to get you used to it? Anyway I tried to join a server (there were only 2 listed, both official army ones?- it was for the first/top mission (basic training mission?) said wrong password (which I had a few times while doing the training actually) gave up then

I know I've seen elsewhere in here pointers how to run a game that you can roam around in safely so will look that up ...

edit - I don't have a mic, or any guarenteed time slots to play in so going to be hard to meet up to join in clan games Will keep trying though

I got in in the end bert , you really need to get into teamspeak and the fanf or one of the others will talk you into the server .

In essance you need to make sure your jacket is connected , press esc , press tab , type open then put in the server addy ,

piece o cake

Aye as above , although I never put in my jacket when I join ,some of the guys say it doesn't connect with out you doing it .

1/ log into AA
2/ Press ESC
3/ Blank screen with logo there press TAB
4/ Type open 69.25.19.14
5/ Sit back and watch for nades

Useful tip is , if the server says its full , click cancel , then TAB , the the UP arrow , and your last command is there , then pres enter again



some problems are caused by either not having punkbuster enabled on the DEPLOYMENT screen
or not have the latest version of punkbuster

Above all make sure you do your basic training

10 Start the game
20 Go to personal jacket
30 Click login
40 Hit ESC
50 hit TAB
60 Type open 69.25.19.14 and hit enter
70 If screen says connection succeeded ( then everything is ok )
80 If screen says anything else hit cancel and goto 20 ( whilst doing this ask server admin when to goto 60)

Only just realised after doing basic training that it opened up lots more training, so going through those atm

LOL the tower para one was erm easy?
I waited for a bit, was up in the air, was suddenly dropping very fast, remembered it mentioned the ENTER (key I set as use) while on the way up, hit that, hit the ground very hard and it said good jump LOL
