An Epiphany on the Wii

Whilst chatting with a friend on MSN about PS3/360/Wii I typed in something which suddenly made me realise why I like the Wii so much, so given I'm a fanboi it's only right I share it with you all :D

PS3/360 next gen consoles which to me offer me nothing my PC doesn't already (okay maybe I need to upgrade my PC for that to be really 100% accurate but hey), the limited exclusive titles often don't stay that way and of all the games coming out the only one which stands out is "Assasins Creed" (tell me I did that right on Assasins, or should it be Assasin's ?) Which reports say will be out on the PC.

The Wii though offers a complete new way of playing games, plus the fun of playing with friends in the same room, which while PC gaming and console gaming offers voice chat and many people doesn't match the fun of people sitting round eating, drinking, having fun. My fondest memory on a console would be the N64 playing Mario Golf with friends for pretty much the whole weekend with the odd Goldeneye thrown in for fun.

I dunno, somehow that isn't as clear as it was in MSN half an hour ago but hopefully you get the idea.

/fanboi out

Why can't you play 360 and PS3 games in the same room? They've both got support for multiple controllers.

Oh, and I'm afraid it's either "Assassin's Creed" or "Assassins' Creed", first being possessive singular and second being possessive plural.

Name a fun multiplayer game for all the family on the PS3/360, two games I've played Multiplayer, first was Halo, second was Halo 2, neither of which I'd describe as fun for all the family.

Learn what TLDR means In short though
1. (Internet) too long; didn't read

Which leads me onto Asshat, and my new favourate word Meatspace :D

havnt looked at PS3, but for PS2, Guitar Hero, Singstar, Buzz and DDR all lend themselves nicely to drunken multiplayer funs

Buzz is proper multi-player and I believe up to 8 people can play, thats a good one :) All the rest will suffer with working until they disable the need for "Analog" input on the PS3 loader.

I still prefer though proper party games like Buzz that everyone plays rather than the pass the controller style, it's why I went for Monkey Ball over Raving Rabbits, though I do also remember alot of fun with the original Monkey Ball on Monkey Flight ... now there was a mini-game I wish would return as was, Wii's monkey ball has flight but fired from a cannon :( And that ski jump was half the fun :)

Anyway, back to meatspace for me
