Hello. i was on your server & again thanks for the games. some of your clan members asked me to contact you about some files we use on our server to help keep out the cheaters. well they are all text files that work with punk buster & all you need to do is admin types in a command in the console to start them.

the first one is a check for any edited maps. some cheaters with take & edit maps to add a box for cover somewhere or remove a door or wall. you cant see them but they can. this file will check all the maps in the folders of everyone thats in your server & will kick any that doesnt have the right map files. now for this we have 2 files. one for all maps but sandstorm & one just for sandstorm. see sandstorm was add on map with 2.0a & a lot of people didnt download that so they will not have that map file & cause them to be kicked. now anyone kicked will not lose
any points but will be ban for 5 mins.

the second one is to make sure all is playing in full screen not window mode. in window mode most flashes do not work & most fog & smoke is gone. it will check for net speed. if anyone has their net speed higher then 10000 then it is taking bandwith from someone else & causes lag while they have none. it checks for gamme, brightness, & contrast. this way they can only have it at the game max. this way they can not edit it for better view. also you can add any player or clan name & it will kick then from server. so if you have a ban list as we do then this will keep
them out with out having to go out & into admin.

you can also add messages that will posted just like the pb at whatever time you want. lets say you want all to know there is no camping. well you add that to this text & the number of secs you want it to be posted. if you want it posted every 3 min then you set the number to 180 & every 3 mins it will have message on the side console saying no camping. all you have to do is an admin type in the command in console & as long as you do not
restart or change maps it will run. if you change maps or restart then admin must retype the command.

These are some of the things the cheats do.
Here we have weapons cache, all sorts of stuff going on here, walls removed, crosshairs to everybody with distance in meters added and what looks like a icon showing that somebody is cooking a nade.

I know matey its bonkers. The fog removed and the dayglow blue thing, are the main reason I almost never play the open area type maps.
The crosshair one kinda explains how some people have the uncanny knack, of knowing exactly where and when to shoot.

Aye It looks like OGC which is a graphics hack more than a game hack as such. I remember when it first came out ofr CS Punkbuster couldn't detect it as it played with graphics drivers and mouse to auto aim, looks like its been ported to AA or something similar.

There has been a few guys on our server i've been near sure they are using something, i've been approching a door thats closed and shot through it.

Pisses me off but least i'm safe in the knowledge that without their cheats they must be crap.

I am very anti cheat and would be very grateful if you could get the files to me. my email is [email protected] dont worry about file size in email as I have a 250 MB limit on my inbox and it getts emptied out every 3 hours or so.

As for the above I'm a tad worried about the brightness thing, my gfx card when playing anything runs at about 115-120% above "normal" in brightness otherwise I can't see **** (and we're talking daylight maps here before anyone gets sarcastic) and I need as much help as I can without not being able to see anything

All in all I say go for the anti cheat stuff, hopefully it will stop the cheating barstewards that happen to cross our paths in the future...

this again from Viper:
ok i have added a zip file that has 3 text files. now all your admins needs these in their aa system folder. you can rename to whatever you want & cheat2 can be edited to your needs.

1. cheat1 is a file used to scan everyone in the server. it checks to make sure they have the right map files & are not edited. to use this admin types in the console exec cheat1.txt now if you change the file name just use the name you made it.

2. sandstorm does the same as cheat1 but for the map sandstorm only. to use admin types in console exec sandstorm.txt
now if you want all that plays on your server to have 2.0a then copy & paste all of sandstorm to the end of cheat1. if they do not have 2.0a then their files will not have sandstorm & will be kicked.


3. cheat2 is for posting rules, baning people or clans, & checking to gamma & stuff. most likes to play in window mode because it stops flashes, smoke fog etc. or atleast most of the time. this makes sure they are in full screen mode. you can add as many clans or players you want to the list to keep them out of server. you can also have messages posted as often as you want. to use this admin types in console exec cheat2.txt

now to add a player or clan to the ban list you need to edit the file. by adding a new line with: admin pb_sv_badname 0 (name or clan tag) they can not get into server while you have this running. lets say a clan named {BOO} is a whole clan you want to keep out you just add this line to file:
admin pb_sv_badname 0 {BOO} for single players just add their screen name.

we have a post that comes up every 170 seconds that says for server rules visit www.lrrpfanhq.com. to add a post you need to add a line with:
admin pb_sv_task 5 now for ours the line goes like this:
admin pb_sv_task 5 170 "say For Server Rules Visit WWW.LRRPFANHQ.COM"
now the 170 is the number of seconds between posts. so every 170 seconds it posts that line. you can have as many as you want set for as often as you want. but what you want posted needs to be listed like this "say whatever". you must use the commas & say. it will run as long as the server is up. if you restart server like map change, password locking, ETC then admin must retype command.

now no one will lose any points for these kicks. but this way you can play instead of admin for the most part. there still will be the normal jerk that comes in but thats always going to happen.

think we might still run into punkbuster problems ie it seemingly not accepting commands - will have a play about see about getting server fully registered etc...

nah - just for Admin

managed to get a fair few punkbuster commands to work now - no huge secret just that where in the AA booklet it tells you about pb_sv commands it omits to say "put the word Admin in front" - have therefore created a few rolling messages as a tester and have a 3 line spam message ready in txt format so i can run it next time server is reset.

HOWEVER as a few bodies know, I tried to run the above anti-cheat thing this morning - resulting in EVERYONE on the server, myself included, being banned for 2 minutes and getting kicked again every time we tried to get back in. Suspect ^this^ could be copy of an older pb check of AA - had to reset server to clear it out. tempted to try running it again though targetted specifically at checking Pipeline.
