This is a very early fantasy/historical novel, written in around 1915 by Jeffery Farnol. I read it as a lad, found it in an old library near us and its interesting as it predates most fantasy that we are used to. I wouldnt call it out and out historical novel, nor is it an out and out fantasy one. I just found a copy of it on Project Guttenberg and posting it here for anyone curious enough to give it a try. Its sort of Robin Hood come Ivanhoe -ish.
