Red Dead Redemption if you like GTA type games? and only 17.99 on play.com
Forza 3 is you like driving games (though I think Forza 4 is due out this year), only 17.99 on play.com as well
Castle Crashers is a fun cheap xbox live game
Batman Arkham Asylum (the one that came out I guess 2 years ago, amazing game), and at only 12.99 on play.com you can't go wrong !
Assasins's Creed I know some rave about, same with Dead Space but I never got into either

Hold on Dart with a console  But if you don't already I'd also suggest getting xbox live, play with random people/friends online

Aaelon

Max Rincewind(eq)Caramon(wow)
Mass effect 2/dragon age are good games(if you haven't already played it on the PC),youve got COD/Battlefield bad company 2 if you are into that kind of thing,Gears of war, need for speed hot pursuit, dead space. There is a lot to choose from, it depends what type of games you are into to be honest.I found Assassin's creed to be very repetitive the later ones are better.

Dart, you have finally given in and come to the dark side eh?

Register your xbox name and try live the paid or silver version (free) and download all the demos before you buy. Most have demos.

If you fancy arcade racing try Blur, my daily fix :) Fast cars and shooting = fun
Left for dead is a fun shooter and any of the CoD series MW2 etc.

Eurogamer has lots of good reviews, worth a look too.

Its not for me, my dad bought one. He asked if I know of any good games for it, I only know the ones that are on the PC. Apart from Gears of War and Halo I dont know of any others that are exclusive for the 360.

I enjoyed Halo Reach although I seem to remember the original looked better, enemies in the distant looked odd. Picked up the controls ok, I do have one of those controllers for my PC. But I just couldn't get used to it, took ages to turn around and overshot the target with the cross-hairs alot, so I ended up jumping from one side of the enemy to the other. My dad was terrible he kept falling on cliffs, his grandson was alot better.

Batman Arkham Asylum had crossed my mind, but its 2 years old, I did suggest Super Street Fighter, you have to have a fighting game if you own a console.

He like strategy games, loved the Civilisation games and Total War games, but I dont know of any similar on the xbox. I think hes also looking for stuff a 12 year old would like, so Brandon can play when visiting. Oh and me I can play when I'm visiting too.

Catan I think is on x-box live, and Batman may be old, but you/he really need to play it, it is an amazing game !

Just got an x-box as my pc is intermittantly playing up. Got Halo Reach with it that I can't get on with. there's no aim assist and my brain wants me to move a mouse not a thumbstick to aim.

Bought Red Dead which I found brilliant fun if a little repetative by the end of the story. MW2 which again is fun single player but I'm bloody awful online with as my hands and brain are thoroughly entrenched in the keyboard and mouse configuration. Splinter Cell Conviction is good. Instead of sneaking about avoiding everyone, you sneak around then kill everyone. Batman Arkham looks and sounds great. Not played it much yet though. Bit of sneaking, bit of POW - KABLAM-ing the baddies and a bit of swooping about. Assassins Creed 2 has a nice story to go with the gameplay. Get your freerunning kicks while stabbing traitors. Gears of War - getting on now but still looks and plays well. Apparantly GoW2 is better but I thought I'd play this one through first. Again it's taken a bit of getting used to controller wise.

Best of all Splinter Cell, Batman and GoW are all available for about a tenner each. Well worth that in my opinion.
