i'm also not too keen on the barbarians rage system... sorry, fury system i mean. barbarians are certainly not being based on wow's warriors - that much is obvious from them changing the names of the talent trees (sorry again, i mean skill trees of course.).
its not that i mind particularly, i love playing my warrior in wow... but i've already got that, why would i want to play the same character in a different game? (actually, put like that, it sounds pretty awesome. maybe they should do that )

These days everything evolves from something already existing, if they take the essence of DII and add all the good bits from their other games it should work

As long as there's a decent chat system... I'd like servant monkeys as well but I suppose I'd settle for dumb merc mules.

Still worried about requirements as well. Laptop's hanging in there with WoW but I'm looking to Syndicate for lag free play.
