Soldier does a lot less damage than the other three classes. I played a Soldier first, now playing Lillith.

Think the soldier is kind of the support class.

Saying that I think a good weapon swings things more than anything though. Find yourself something your level or thereabouts with +150% damage and your laughing

the equipment really does need balancing. and repricing.

i've had a rifleman class mod since about level 30. its purple, and needs level 28. it gives +33% combat rifle damage, +3 assault skill, +2 overload, + 2 impact. it also has a hidden something that regens ammo when i've an assault rifle (not a heavy machine gun) equipped. i can sell it for 41k.
i saw in a shop a level 37 version of the same thing. purple, all the same visible stats, costs 600k to buy. i've got loads of cash atm, so i figure why not. well it turns out the why not is that this one *doesnt* do the ammo regen. if i try to sell it, its worth 88k.
so its higher level, does less stuff, and costs more. wtf? i'd have been happy if it just did the same, so i could give my old one away to one of my freinds... but nope...

Played this on and off with some people from work at the weekend. Only played soldiers though, do the other classes do substantially more damage ? one boss took ages to finish off with two soldiers

I've played both the Siren and Hunter Class upto around 30. Siren has been single player, with some online. Hunter i've been playing with my mate on splitscreen, he's the Soldier and most of the way though those 30 levels he's been able to do more damage than me, of course it's somewhat loot dependant if I get a really good sniper rifle then I'll have the upper hand for a few levels, but generally he's been doing the better damage. Combat Rifles with huge clips (50+) and automatic fire (not the burst fire ones) seem to be the Soldiers best weapons. Also I think his turret is much better than the Hunters bird, which has annoying AI and often gets stuck in area's with ceilings or for some reason will sometimes fly around not attacking anything. I'd say The Siren however does way more damage than both the other 2 classes from the first 30 levels, but that may all change with the extra 20 levels/skill points.

i love my turret, and wouldnt trade it for anything else. i'm considering respeccing to make it more powerful.
the birds all well and good, but at the end of the day its just an extra bit of burst damage. whereas, to quote roland, the turrets 'like having another soldier on the field' being able to use it (especially in single player) to distract a bunch of enemies while i shoot them in the back (or it shoots them in the back), or load it up with corrosive ammo to take down those pesky crimson lance badass defenders, or just to hide behind for a few seconds when theres no other cover, is just really handy.

i notice noones talking about the sirens action skill... is that cause its as crap as it seems? i'm yet to find a decent use for it. oh wow, i can run up to an enemy and hit them! then get pounded by all their freinds that i'm in the middle of :/ the one useful thing i did with it was to leg it accross a miniguns field of fire at sledges place, to get to some cover where i could resurect my freind from. which isnt bad i guess, but it doesnt seem in the same league.

i've had some lovely assault rifles btw. the 'glorious havoc' line of LMGs spring to mind - scoped, huge mag, fire rate in the 10-12 range, fairly high damage, almost no recoil, and accurate. granted, they also drink ammo. in terms of the burst fire type guns, the 'battle stomper' line seems good, think i had a level 19 green that was better than any other gun i found until i was around 40...

Her action skill was only recently fixed in a patch, I think in the last couple of days. I like the look of her or the soldier, the sniper looks like he could hurt people alot but the soldier and all the turret can do seems so useful. I assume if you spec healing and damage your turret will end up firing rockets at you and your group to heal them ?

I play as berserker, and I love the Rage attack, When you simply have to murder anything near by. Nothing else will do... Mixing that yup with a combo of Rocket Launcher and sniper. Playing with the same 2 guys every night since like level 4. It's 'mazin

Siren action skill is brill. 6 seconds of invis and invuln, while your health and shields regen fast.

i) Get out of jail free - use it when nearly dead and you run off as far as you want and are back to full health/life;

ii) you can skill it for AE stun and damage components both when you enter and leave Phasewalk.


Siren is on the verge of being OP and very easy to get going (Quicksilver, Spark, Slayer, Enforcer, High Velocity). By level 25-30 no-one is touching you for DPS, certainly double that of a Solider (Soldier rocks and is great for a team, but it's not in the same league DPS wise). You need to understand the class and use SMGs and Revolvers with the best elemental damage bonuses, though. Siren is all about elemental damage (fire, acid, lightning or explosive) and gets major bonuses to them. On top of that she gets multiple daze/stuns, single player and AE.

finally completed it (ive been on mass effect 2 ) and what a crap ending!
Have to agree with Zeus on the havoc gun range though, you want to turn someone into walking mince this weapon range does the job.I found a good acid gun is worth having as well.
