Computer Security

I thought about the advantages against cost of having good computer security and when I had ADSL installed decided that it's far better to have good security.

I bought Norton System Works 2001 and then upgraded to 2002 at the end of last year and have Zone Alarm.

It looked like I had gone overboard as I haven't had a virus or trojan for the 5 years I have had the internet, but today I d/l the new virus definitions and Norton Antivirus warned I had a trojan, when I looked at Zone Alarm, this morning alone, one i.p address had tried over 300 times to access my ports but Zone Alarm had blocked it.

Although Norton couldn't delete it, it did quarntine it and has now been sent to their lab.

I just thought I'd let you all know in case you've been swaying whether or not to get some security.

i usually get one "attack" as such a night that zonealarm picks up, but doing a whois on the number it always comes up with BT, hehe

Its probably just them checking to see if im still online or summat :)

Either that or BT has some "l33t hax0rz"
in thier midst..
