No, don't really like Simple Minds either. Don't you forget about me was a bit of a cool song when I was at school tho. Other than that, they're piss. I always preferred U2....
Now your talking, but sadly Bono has went a bit political (again) Fair play to him he speaks his mind got to respect that, still makes great music though.
Well..... they used to make great music. Anything past Rattle and Hum is a bunch of arse. And their cover of Bullet in the Blue Sky should be condemned in Hell.
I think U2 are one of the most overrated bands ever, they probably are the biggest band on the planet at the minute, but they are really quite bland, that's the 80's & 90's stuff. With or Without You, Sunday Bloody Sunday & Pride are great songs, but most of there other output bores me. Sorry.
"I loved that song, Sunday Bloody Sunday, it really captured the feel of a sunday morning, you get up, have to wash the car and go to the garden centre and you think, Sunday, bloody Sunday"
Went to the last tour - they played at least 1 song from every album bar October which was kinda ****e but when they played 'I Will Follow' from the 1st album there was hardly anyone singing along unlike all their popular stuff.
Music was superb but crowd was shockingly awful but then I did used to live in mosh pits gettin kicked to **** and loving the crowd surges backwards and forwards - this was a tad too tame for me.
Saw Madness at Xmas and that was completely different though with lots of original nutty boys all around me and Sugs and the lads bashin out all the old fav's of yester year, took me back to when I saw em as a 14yr old with Specials in Coventry
Have to agree with Fungus there i love Madness such upbeat good times Ska, My Girls Mad at me, Wings of a Dove, Last Train to Cario, Our House, Baggy Trousers, etc, etc the list is endless. I've lost all my old records/tapes of Madness but this has put me in the mood to head out and buy them all on CD's, do you think Virgin Megastore will have em???
