Crafting quest line ?

I went into the crafting area and just got given a recipe book. No quest line that I could see. I forgot totally about crafting on the isle. Anyone know who I should see to kick off the quest line ?

Hmm you should have if you press 'J' and 'Unknown' quest I think which is the crafting one, something about making 'x' and coming back to him, and he'll give you the other book.

Now since the patch though talk to any trainer in any crafting area and you should get it/progress it.

If you are unsure I believe you can start a newbie (same faction), get the quest, put the note in the shared bank, log in tribune, read it, get the quest and hey presto formagio you have the quest.

I believe though if you get the book you get the quest, I was in a similar situation with Gottaa although I had got the original note, when I went to the trainer in a new area (which you can now do since the patch) and he I think scrapped the quest I had and gave me a brand new one.

P.S Where on earth do you get 'liquid' from ? I could see it on the vendor and no logical idea what I would harvest to get liquid. I need to make a potion for the next step of my quest.

Just found the correct part of the eq2 forums to sort this out. Thanks for reply m8. Liquid used to be on the wholesale bloke. Water or milk or something.

Ahhhh I did see milk but my item seemed very clear it wanted 'liquid' and I assumed it was being specific. Now I know that I'll get through the quest easier :)

I must say I'm rather chuffed I managed to make a master1 heal spell (which I didn't even realise was possible) and upgraded my pet spell, all from something I'd harvested at some point and once I worked out each type only really has 3 buttons to press as you make stuff I got much better :)

There's 6 m8. More get added after you finish the quest line. 3 for progress (the original ones) and 3 that concern durability. You can fiddle with each of these as you craft, depending on how your bars are moving.

Also, you can hit em even when you don't have an icon to dispell, and their benefits get added to the next tick.

You get 3 more at lvl 10, 20, 30 .......

It is use of these skills that raise your crafting skill, not making items in itself. After a certain level they 'grey out' as far as being able to be used for skill raises and you have to use your more recently aquired abilities.

You can use the three each tick, so if your skills are a ways behind max pick a cheapish recipe and spam the highest 3 skills each tick.

Also note only one of the 3 types actually uses power when you use it.

I thought as you level up the new ones simply replaces the old one's that's certain the wording on a few of the FAQ's about replacing your skills when you level up, is that wrong then ?
