Cthulhu PBF

Okay Merly has requested a Cthulhu PBF game.

Im happy to run something. Infact i might even go ang get the mountains of madness to run. However Im only going to do this if we have a decent response.

We will use traditional cthulhu rules - ie not D20. Game shalt be set in the early 1900's.

If your interested please post a character concept. Once we got that ill knock up a spreadsheet or something for the character sheets.

For anyone who doesnt know Cthulhu - its traditional gothic horror. cultists, other strange phenomenon etc taking place.

Character types are pretty much unlimited, professors, actors, Private Eyes, Cops, Armed forces, academics, librarians ..

In a game ive been playing we have:

! Professor, 1 Tax collector, 1 big game hunter, 1 dillenete, and an escapoligist called Eric Wiese

i'd LOVE to play this. i've only played once, but it was so much fun. For those who havent played, i'd just like to point out that just being a fighter type perosn isnt what this games about.

that said, i'd like to be a terminator, sent back from the future with futuristic weapons, and the ability to kill something by looking at it
or, failing that, a civil engineer.

To try and gender some interest im going to create a spreadsheet in the next few days or so which will have 5 or 6 character concepts on.

you can choose your character and provide some basic info. The game will be set in the 1890s and will be based in England! Huzzah I here you cry. hopefully it will be fun. However if people not interested then im not going to run it *nah nah na na naaaaa*

Before I go ahead and spend hours creating Char sheets, knocking them up onto Xcel, making characters I really need 5 peeps to definately play.

If not then ill be honest .. i aint doing it

I can run any of the following:

Cthulhu
DnD 3rd edition
Shadowforce (kind of modern day Espionage RPG - D20 though)
D20 judge Dredd I guess ... (not too keen tbh)
Alternity - Space opera game (great system shame it got dropped)

So..

If 6 people want to play something and can agree ill run something here..

Only ever played D&D and would be up for another game of that, but i'd muddle my way through others, probably.

i'd rather go for something none-DnD tbh. Whats this alternity thing like? Shadowforce sounds ok too.

Alternity is Gun toting nutters in a great (imho) space opera setting!

Shadowforce is an alternative earth with some very interesting Ideas...

I'd be up for anything non-DnD. Alternity sounds good, though don't know those systems, so am happy with following the crowd too.
