Hi Slots:
4x 720mm Artillery (Use the best guns you can afford to lose - currently running 2x scout and 2x prototype siege... oops, 15 mil of guns there....)
3x Heavy Missile Launchers (Again, use the best you can afford to lose)
1x Small tractor Beam

Mid Slots:
1x Med Shield Booster II
1x Shield Boost Amplifier
3x Mission specific shield hardeners

Low Slots:
Whatever. A combination of mods depending on what you need. Warp Stabs, Gyros(+ROF for artillery) , tracking computers (+Range) etc.

Train BC skill up to at last 3 asap too. that provides another 22.5% boost per tick on the shield, combines with the amplifier, you are looking at a hefty increase in recharge.

addendum: Don't know if they are addative or multiplicative, as it's hard to pull exact stats out of the game. I'm currently getting 22.5% increase to the sheild booster from skills, and 30% form the amp. Is that a 52.5% flat increase to the Med Booster II, or are the equations more esoteric?
