Well having spent a small fortune collecting the various 3.5 books, i've got no plans on ditching them all to start again on a new edition.

Yep my thoughts exactly.

I like virtual tabletops and FG2 does it well but thats free to use once you have bought the software, and they are developing it all the time.

I'll have to have a good hard look at the rule system to see if it is an improvement, tbh I dont think it will be.

4e going to have virtual tabletop stuff out the box then ? /confused.

If so in my mind that would make it worth buying for that alone, preferably done via a website so it'll run on the mac as well :)

Id more than likely buy the books. But id not rush to convert quickly.

Gottaa - it looks like one of te options is to present things on a virtual tabletop but you still need books in hardback to actually build characters etc.

Digital Tabletop may have a basic PPM rate I think but not seen enough about it to know whether the PPM is only for enhanced features.

That allows you to create/store characters online for play and register your books online as well to use the feats etc.

Rumour has it that you will be charged a small fee for registering each book online which is a farce IMO.

The character creation bit looks nifty as you can equip with armour etc , colour it to personal preference. Looks very much like a MMO creation screen.

Very much what a lot of people from the pre-beta DDO boards were asking for.

Ohhh that all sounds rather nice, PC only ? and is there a link to this kinda info, or is it on the original link and I'm too stupid to find it ?

A thought

If all the Dungeon Mag and Dragon Mag content gets put on D&D Insider as well as retail modules and you have the ability to enter the code from the hard copy to access it as a GM that would save so much time.

All the labour associated with DMing in FG would go out the window for modules wouldn't it. All WotC would have to do would make it up once.

likewise, nor probably subscribing to insider. BUT im not going to rush into an upgrade of my table top campaign just because.. 3.0 to 3.5 made some sense.. But my 3.5 investment has been huge.
