Ok heres the thing, I already own an xbox and Wii but I was thinking of getting a PS3, the question is apart from the blue-ray is it worth having one if I already have an xbox? Most of the games I can get on the Xbox and the exclusive ones I'm not over keen on (Gran tursimo 5,uncharted for instance). So can anyone talk me around or tell me something that I might have missed.

thanks in advance as always!

I've got all 3 and I hardly use any of them, the PS3 is good for bloooray and I use it for playing encoded films as well.... but for games I think the xbox is the better machine so if you're just wanting a games machine you're probably ok as you are.

yeah, got all 3, apart from the blu ray if you're not interested in the exclusives I wouldn't be too fussed about the ps3.

agree with roch. 360 is the better games machine, better online system, friends list, achievements system etc. trophies is a poor immitation

borrowing uncharted 2 from a collegue though and must say it is pretty good!

I have all 3, and the PS3 is basically just used to watch BBC iPlayer at time Sky+ or BBC schedulers mess up, and the only game really played on it is Little Big Planet or Pixeljunk Shooter (a 6 game with PSN). Main reason I got it was to be as a blu-ray player, but it's only ever played one blu-ray movie. I wouldn't bother with one

if you've not played them before, i highly recomend the god of war collection (GoW 1+2 remastered for PS3) and God of War 3 (comes in at under 50 for all 3 from play). brutal hack'n'slashy goodness.

From PSN must buys are Joe Danger, Pixeljunk shooter, and perhaps if you like the idea of a relaxing game Flower. And game wise you should pick up Little Big Planet (not sure when LBP2 is out though)

can highly recommend Valkyria Chronicles, very nice turn based strategy game. Uncharted 2 is on platinum label this month so a great pick up for 15 quid if you shop around on the interwebs. Heavy Rain is still on my pick up list as well. got some great press and reviews.

will never understand the attraction of LBP... i wanted to like it, got it for christmas last year, and spent most of a day going 'sooo, when does the game start?'

Lbp shines on multiplayer or if you want to sit down and create a level or a wierd machine, and of course when creating you can save as you go so don't need to do everything in one sitting. Single player though with the thousands of online levels there is still quite alot to do.
