I wasn't, and then I saw the reviews. Generally most have said its the best game they've played in that genre since Thief, which is draws heavily from.

X-Com still wins but I'll definatly be picking this up at some point.

shame its not a genre that interests me more, really oh i'm sure it'll be alright, but really, i dont think its a particularly competitive genre. i'll get it when its cheap. friday is xcom day.

Sounded mildly interesting then I saw it had Bethesda Softwares sticky hands all over it - meaning it'll be buggy and unfinished.

Xcom for me as well - do the Gollops have anything to do with this remake?

When I said genre, I think they were referring to FPS/RPG crossovers, which can cover alot of games really. I will pick it up, as I've heard alot of excitement for it, but I've been waiting for x-com for quite some time. I even gave the UFO: afterstuff games a shot lol.

Mine arrived yesterday morning

It's pretty awesome so far, though I'm not *that* far in yet. The blurb comparing it to a mix of Half-Life 2, Thief and Bioshock is all pretty accurate - definitely getting that vibe so far from it! Combat isn't too bad, and the stealth has felt quite Thiefy/Deus Exy (in a good way). So.. yea, I like it.

Bethesda published it, Arkane developed it, and it's using Unreal Engine 3, not the Gamebryo stuff. Admittedly, if they were using Bethesda's QA there's probably something that'll go wrong soon, but my xbox version has been fine so far (not that I've actually had any big issues with any Bethesda games)

It has it's flaws. it's No Hitman2, but Hitman2 was annoying, this is cute and cool.

This game is absolutely fantastic I can't recommend it highly enough.
Now I've finished Dark Souls I'm hoping to have more time to play it.
