I'd read that, and tried one as a Belf and up to level 30 they were very good. After that though they dont have enough oomf. Going to get one of those see thru cats instead. I assume that all the special critters such as Takk, The Rake and Swamp Jaguars have all been nerfed to normal?

yes, pets got normalized.

beware caster pets too. they suck.

special pets are just for vanity now - like humar, rak'shiri etc.

I have a bog standard wolf now...had ghost saber, Takk etc etc. but I'm unique now because my pet is so ordinary!
