DS Lite deals and screen protectors

Anyone know where has the best deals around for the DS lite's ? And also which screen protector would people most recommend, I've heard horror storyies of game's screen protectors making it harder to see the bottom screen and in effect putting a grid over the display and the last thing I want is something making it much harder to see the bottom screen, but I would like it protected.

I also heard over the weekend how people in your animal crossing friendlist get you people who leave your town, a friend had alot of fun telling me some hippo had left his town as he wasn't talking to her enough and then a person at work told him 'matilda' (name of said hippo) had arrived in his town over the weekend and had told him about the last town she'd stayed in and how my friend had been really boring and not talked to her much (used his name and everything). A small touch but it's those things that really stand out to me in these kinda games. Anyway due to a mess up in ordering he had an extra copy of animal crossing which he gave to Talili and I so I'm trying hard to resists getting one just yet due to finances but not sure how long I can resist with a lonely DS game keep looking at me, wanting to be played !

Okay I think I have decided where to get one, anyone with one care to recommend/suggest what to keep away from when it comes to screen protectors though ?

Accidentally bought one this lunchtime. I don't think I'll bother with a screen protector though.

Going to goto toyrus here, seem to have a good deal and can test the screen for dead pixels in the store then. 110 quid for DS lite, brain age and a pack with case, pens, game cartridges and screen protectors.

I'm still unsure about the screen protector thing as some reports I've read say the bottom screen already has a screen protection layer on it built in.

What games you got for it then so far Roch ?

I went for the new mario platformer, brain training and mariocart ds for now m8

Got the white one too, I thought the black one would just get covered in fingerprints.

I can't see a reason to get a screen protector to be honest. Haven't had any problems with mine...

Well we got the white one with brain training in a toys r us bundle. The guy was fine about checking the screen before we walked out and even looked for us (although we did double check anyway).

Had fun with the brain training although it was rather poor at detecting me say "Black" and the count from 1 to 120 made me feel rather silly, and all that to get a brain aged 80

And I really hope the pictures I've drawn aren't surfaced anywhere ... my god I really can't draw.

Favourate games in brain age so far are Low to High and the x20 one.

Just started out with animal crossing as well, will get teh wi-fi sorted out tonight if I get a chance though I don't think any other CUK'ers really liked animal crossing

I've got the DS not lite and have had it for about 3 months now. I've not had any problem with screen scratching. The outer case has a few though, but as long as you keep the lid closed when not in use it should be fine. I have just baught a 10 pound carry case for it to stop it getting scuffed in my bag, but thats about all the protection it has.

I've got Animal crossing, Advance wars, Metroid prime, FFIII (gba game to stop fluff getting in the port), and a wifi dongle for conecting via internet at home.

'Syllable Count' has me having to use my fingers to count ... in the same kinda way I had a test on the brain age where i have to link up letters then numbers, i.e a > 1 > b > 2 > c > 3 etc ... for some reason became a struggle around j.

On the plus side my brain is now only aged 56, so I shaved off 24 years since last night

My DS Lite arrived today, yeah in hindsight the black is gonna collect tons of fingerprints but nevermind

I think the black looks cooler on the outside, and the screens are a bit more aesthetic within (white on black screen etc). My mum prefers the black one too though, so I guess if it does gather finger prints, I'll just switch to her white one

True, but so far I've been playing the brain game 90% of the time and the screens are only white on that game (cos I had to use animal crossing for a black screen to check for deal pixels)
