I enjoyed it and had no major issues. Had 3 characters and enjoyed all of them.

Cant give any specifics of course :p

Right, i'll give it another go and hope something about it hooks me in somehow.

Not being a ES veteran can someone suggest a race/class combo to try in beta that might prove fun and get me a good intro into the game, world and lore?

Tends to be either all our ranged mage type or back row dedicated healer (although that tends to not work for solo play, leveling as a dedicated healer is soul destroying).

Generally speaking I much prefer to work at range for either DPS or Healing, preferring to specialise rather than good all rounder (it tend to then have a second all rounder character for pottering around solo.

i doubt i'll get enough time in beta to get far this weekend so something that's easy to pick up with enough background to hook me into wanting to pay to play later?

Aldemer (High Elf) Templar and go Staff sounds about right.

This will give you an idea of what type of abilities templar have and then you spend points on thos skills or the weapon type, Get a Restoration Staff and a Destruction Staff.

I plan on trying a dual wielding templar this time and see what the char feels like. That way I can also get a Restoration Staff and heal if needed.

I'm not bothering this time around. PM me if someone wants my key - first come first to end up with an inventory full of spoons, forks plates, cups etc :p

Really struggling with this one for some reason, I just can't get attached to it, not sure why. It seems a little sterile and souless to me can't put my finger on why. It's all a bit shiny. All of which is odd given so many people see Skyrim and it's predecessors as some of the best RPGs of all time. I'd expect to be captivated but i'm just not getting it.

Maybe i'm just getting old.

So, quick question, I seem to earn skill points, given the above class recomendations do I put them into weapon skills of class skills first or both?

Just noticed this review which reflects my feelings quiet well actually. I hope I'm just missing something because it's a long time until the next MMO.
