Empire Earth

I played Empire Earth a while ago - its a good game concept - kind of like a real-time civilisation. You begin with little chimps and big sticks and progress to cyborgs with laser-beams! It's a great game to play for the first few times - leading your little band of warriors in the stone age and trying to gather enough resources to go up the next age (whilst trying to stay alive!). It has good graphics and it's all in proper 3D 'n that... but...
After you have done the whole stone-atomic progression it gets a bit samey and it doesnt have the addictiveness of a game like ye olde Civilisation did. Multiplayer games are good fun but we didnt play it that long before wanting something more substantial. I'd say it's a good game that doesnt quite fulfil it's potential.
Alternatively - just been playing Age of Mythology and it's extremely good - good gameplay/lots of different gods and heroes and epic battles/sieges
and its pretty addictive too!
