Files coming in as read only

Suddenly all files coming on bittorrent are read only. Anyone know how to change this back as the popup when I am moving them is bloody annoying? I am using windows xp.

Tried bringing files in from different sources and its only Utorrent that is flaging them as read only. Its only been happening for the last 3 or 4 days. Bugging the shit out of me now, having to go in to the properties of each torrented file and untick the box. Can't find any help on this on net, is it just time to re install windows?

Total novice when it comes to Dos bu I'll try that, thanks Chick. But I would really like to know why its just started to do it.

Ag I go to the Transmission download page and havent a clue what to get. Is there an exe file in the source code download?

Ah thank you! I'll get this on today. Dont know why Utorrent has suddenly farked. My cousin died last week, he had a deep love of music and his Mam charged me with the job of getting together a couple of hours of the songs he likes to play at his send off. Usually wouldn't be a problem but it has took ages getting them sorted, getting the read only popup every time I had to move them.
