Received invite to 'technical alpha' testing yesterday so thought I'd give it a whirl. So far, really enjoying!
Without going into too much detail, so far I've:
- had a quick tour through the tutorial (aimed at 4 year olds and possibly the Welsh). Very basic but, to be fair, informative and light-hearted enough to get new players up and running in the same way as they did for Hearthstone.
- messed about on single player - quite like this as there is the option to have a mess with the different characters in private before venturing out to fall on my face.
- ventured out in co-op mode. Yet again quite like this, particularly for playing with friends to get used to the whole playing as a team thing against NPC's rather than just jumping into a random game and getting stomped by a pre-made. The AI is good enough (at my current level) to keep things challenging as well.
Tonight I'm probably going to spend a couple of hours trying out the available characters in co-op mode before they get rotated to fresh ones. Should be fun!
Now all I need is for Blizzard to release their Hearthstone Android port and come up with a cross game subscription (kind of like a Virgin Media package) and I'll be very happy for the next year or so
