Hows it going?

Havent had the time free last few days to log in and grab some levels so i was just wondering how people are finding it as they progress further into the game?

I know Cath was closing on level 30 at the weekend and others were getting high so would you mind throwing some insight to what the other areas are like or any of the dungeons/story missions play like past 20?

Managed to tank the Fae dungeon last weekend and enjoyed it a lot. (as Paladin/Warlord).

Feel free to throw in how your builds have been shaping up too.

Bard/Rift/Nightblade for PvP and Bard/Bladedancer/Nightblade for PvE all in all loving it, not in a mad rush to cap doing v well in PvP mainly pure healer/utility and PvE all good, can't see any point to reach endgame yet and I am also keeping in line with the lovely small UK guild i have found, full of old fuckers like me from UO :p

Have enjoyed my time and have played a few hours a night.

Am currently unguilded liking the n00b experience, like Git says am not sure what the end game holds really.

My main is a reaver, dead easy to level a tank with little downtime, am 21/2 and can comfortably take 2 x same level, 3 is ok too but needs me to be on the ball.

I tried a ranger marksman and that was okay, think I am only 9-10 so too early comment on later levels.

necro/lock was easy but again not got far enough yet.

Trade skills are quite nicely done, however due to green quest rewards like most games fairly bust as regards armour. Gems / chants and potions might be better, again too low a level really but similar to wow make sure you keep greens or buy cheap ore to make stuff to disenchant.

I got to 42 in beta so not seen anything new yet and switched from my mage to my rogue as found I missed my beta char :) Mage is 37 and Rogue 29 but thats mainly down to no life and knowing what I am doing/where to go for quests etc.

Some of the zones are really nice and Moonshade Highlands has a very nice feel of Scotland about it. If you go exploring you can quite often find little hidden gems like cairns that you can click on to discover to loot left behind, the puzzles in each zone are nice too and the rewards are very good usually blue or purple (gained 2 purples from them so far and only done 3).

I am aiming for 50 sooner rather than later so I can start getting ready for raiding but my other chars will take it slower and explore more than I have :)

Yeah i noticed that Twy, armoursmithing seems to only suppliment my runecrafting at the mo.. not providing me with great items, does come in handy though and forces me to look other places for my phat lewts

Oh didn't even know the higher zones had puzzles with rewards. Puzzles like crystal maze or monkey island or... Pictionary?

I am on cloudborne m8, do a search on Diabh only a lvl 27 Bard at the moment, enjoying the game warfronts are fine for a purpose but hopefully it's all going to be about RvR at 50 as that's what's going to keep me playing, in a nice guild with a bunch of old gits who also played UO which is nice :)

apart from that taking my time as i see zero reason to rush, it's not like they have a frontiers like DAoC i can go to.

Got to 21 now and must admit i was getting a bit bored of the levlling in the teens but took my finger out and did a few, ran FAE dungeon again and since the Codex battleground opened up (that is ace) really loving my dude again. I know people have likened it to a wow clone but i think plan was just to draw in people from wow then i think they'll start changing bits (hopefully the crafting system as it just seems to be mass production abeit with a little bit of customability).

Gloamwood is a much better area too.

This game really rules

Still enjoying it close to 30 now, I am v dubious of the PvP side of the game currently they have a lot of work ahead, if it sticks to just BG's and open PvP which has no benefits i can see it dying within 6 months, if they bring in proper RvR then it will be decent.. going to give it 6 months see what changes..

word of advice don't read the official pvp section of the forums it's awful lol

it is not really like wow to me, but like so may other games i played long before wow, though with a few differences to make it vaguely unique.

wow copied so much stuff from other games, the only thing it did new was the crap gfx so lil babbies could play on cast off pc's.

wow has been out a good few years so had a chance to polish itself off and has a robust economy that trades. Rift is lacking in alot of ways but i am happy plodding a long for a week or 3 and see where it takes me :cowbell:

PvP is a walk over for us. 2 x sab's 1 x mage and 1 x cleric. They double bomb a target while i AE and cleric heals us. We win 95% of matches

Dungeons we steam roll as 4. Not to say its not fun because it actually is. Dungeons are much nicer looking and bosses more fun.

Long term? Cant see it but its fun for maybe 2-3 months
