Increase viewing distance?

Anyway to increase viewing distance or tweak a cfg file or something? Its currently 100% and max gfx etc in settings using 2 x 6800 but i know it can get higher cos people lock onto me alot further then i can lock on to them for example in a SAM site.

if i move my chair back the distance is improved...

If your viewing distance is low as well, just move your chair back as well like Legs suggested

Got it running on two machines in my room one has a 5700 Ultra gfx card at 100% dist and the other is a 7800gt at 100% dist, and i can see far further on the 7800.

Dunno why u'd think it would all b the same.

In shaqui pennisula (sp?), are you able to lock onto MEC heli's as soon as they are entered from the bottom US sam site? Happens alot to me and thats a looong way for viewing.

hmm, seems a bit daft, would have thought viewing/lockon distance would be capped at a certain amount regardless of hardware to keep things balanced.

Then again peeps with the expansion can use the uber weapons in normal game servers so I guess they're not too bothered about balance

Having said that most of the new kits are different rather than better, the exception being the new assult kit...

Not really tried long range lock ons but all o know is if i wanna play a sniper i get far better success on the 7800gt machine.

New guns aren't fantastic tbh

try the F2000, rips people to shreds, dead accurate and has a noob cannon straped to it as well
