L1 or L2

Hi All,

Simple question, logged in this morning quickly in my new home (not sure I did apply to the corp in the end, as still in newbie corp), and noticed I could do L2 missions, am I better off doing L2 Q15 missions than running L1 Q0 missions ?

Yes. More cash and more stuff to salvage (if you go that route)

As for hte corp - khana was chatting to me over the weekend about your application so its in hand. I don't think he knew who you were so he'd not approved it. But it should be sorted so ill chase him to get it fixed.

Maybe I should have made it more descriptive than 'It's Gottaa' or something like that :) I thought it was CUK'ers so I didn't do it properly

P.S Me want Rupture :)

Definitely L2. :) More fun, more challenge, more loot, more money. :) Also, you can move upwards to Cruiser and enjoy a new ship. :) I was so proud of my Rupture... :)

It is still one of my favourite ships. :)

Use the free Destroyer you would have gotten from Tutorials as you salvage ship - 3 or 4 beams and 4 salvagers does the job pretty quickly. Currently finding that salvage in level 3s can add 1-3 or 4 million on to the mission rewards.

you're probably running T2 everything and have shield/armor hardners too...

Gotta use a cruiser :p

I'm not too keen on trying L2 missions in my Rifter, cos if it blows up I need to refit it and get the name of everything that was fitted to it, and I'm lazy, also I don't get drones to play with in the Rifter. And I used a stabber before to salvage, more cap, alot more space though slower travelling, but then in just one mission before with Aciid I filled the stabber's cargo hold up, so with the destroyer it would have taken alot longer in total

You can save fits from the fitting screen. That way if your ship dies, you can just buy a new one, pull up your saved fit and use that as a shopping list.

L2 missions in a frigate are doable but hard if you don't have a decent amount of skills. Buy a Rupture or a Stabber and you'll breeze through them.

Rupture's rule for L2 missions thread - Enjoy them :)

Ps. you can make your cargo hold last longer when salvaging by dropping any Metal Scraps out of the Airlock. They take up a ton of space, and are worthless.

I am using a Hurricane (Battlecruiser) as my Salvage Boat these days and I am very happy with it. :) 4 Salvagers, 4 Tractor beams, a lot of Cargo Hold Expanders (cargo hold over 2000m3), an MWD and it is cap stable. I am going to stick with that. :) Although my Gallente Destroyer served me quite well, the cargo hold is just too small for lvl 4 missions.

The Rupture is a great ship, I love it to bits. I hope to be able to use it as my main combat ship for pvp. I would also definitely use a Ruppy for L2. You get drones to play with, a lot more options than with Frigates, more surviveability and a plain cool looking ship. :)

Posting it here so I can easily check from home:

[Rupture, Test]
N-Type Adaptive Nano Membrane I
Damage Control II
800mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Medium Armor Repairer II
Gyrostabilizer I

Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners
Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II

650mm Medium 'Scout' Artillery I, EMP M
650mm Medium 'Scout' Artillery I, EMP M
650mm Medium 'Scout' Artillery I, EMP M
650mm Medium 'Scout' Artillery I, EMP M
Small Tractor Beam I
Salvager I

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Which is basically Req's suggestion, but with the rigs to make it cap stable at 46%

anything obvious missing ?

Probably. The ore needed for BC is substantial.

Looking at it i can probably do something in the region of 18 - 19mill at a push, saving anyone around 8 - 9mill.
