Don't forget to pre-order it ! Looks like a good fun mix of crime solving with sprinkle of GTA, the voice/facial stuff is really impressive in some of the vid's I've seen

wow the facial expressions are amazing, different people having slightly different mouth's too. Looks impressive, gameplay looks like GTA though but i've not seen this before so who knows.

It's by Rockstar I'm pretty sure, but the gameplay is supposed to more be about reading faces, finding clues, and investigating that guns blazing/driving, though that is obviously in there as well should the need arise. If it's half as good as I've been reading it'll be worth it

The games is supposed to be a lot more linear than other rockstar games.I am still going to wait on a review of this before I consider buying it.I usually get overwhelmed with Rockstar games and never complete most of them because I am a completist freak that has to do everything and by that time I have grown bored of it :)

I'm intrigued by this game. I'm a huge fan of the noire genre, but I'm not sure a GTA-a-like is what I'm looking for. NMI, basically.

not entirely convinced myself, but a bit intrigued... i found GTA 4 very disapointing, and havn't really looked too much at rockstar since then.

Was going to order this but as my new 360 S is throwing disc reads all the time I'm going to wait for the 19/05 update before I buy anything. If the update doesn't sort the read errors then it's going back for a replacement.

When I checked yesterday, metacritic had an average of 91% over 23 reviews, which is pretty damn good.

First game I've been looking forward to since... uncharted 2 I guess.

Xbox plugged in again yesterday, played with the new Kinect which was fun (though needs WAY too much space), and then started playing LA Noire .... buy it, you won't regret it, huge amounts of fun and detectiveness, the reviews that say it's all repetitive are I guess correct, in the same way every FPS is repetitive as all you do is shoot stuff.

I've enjoyed it (up to the arson desk now). The atmosphere and some of the story are probably the best things about it.

The detective stuff quickly falls apart a bit. The search for clues becomes a game of tapping X until the music stops and the interrogations become illogical.

The face tech is great but when questioning it becomes a bit of a guessing game as often their body language doesn't correspond to the options you are told they should match with.

The evidence also seems hit and miss as key bits never seem to come up in questioning and it doesn't give you the option to use them. Phelps responses also cause confusion and he will often come out with something that makes no sense when taken in context of how the interview is going.

Its been fun overall (especially if you enjoy pootling around big 3D worlds) but I ended up playing the detective parts how the game wanted me to rather than using any logic or investigative skills. It's also not very Noire, even with the filter.

A story driven, linear GTA mixed with a point and click adventure.
