Lost

Yes, but did Juliet manage to detonate the nuke? And is the bloke in the black shirt Esau? And why Taueret? Is the fact that no babies born on the island survive a direct result of the demolition of the giant statue?

I noticed the hieroglyphics in the temple and thought it was a bit odd at the time.

Apparently ABC have confirmed that the statue is Taweret which would tie in with the fertility problem on the island but the statue looks far more like Sobek to me. He also carried an ankh, undid evil and cured people's ills which sounds a lot like the island healing people.

Explaining why Jacob (assuming he's "the" Jacob) would be living on an island, possibly with his brother, amongst Egyptian architecture should be fun.

Been tempted to retry Lost again. I heard it picked up after the show was given a proper end scedual, but I think i'll wait till it's completely finished and see what sort of reaction the finale gets - don't want to invest time with a show that has a completely pathetic copout ending again (Battlestar).

Waiting for series 5 on DVD to rent :)

At times I hated Lost, but it is so well done with an interesting(confusing) plot that I keep watching.

Which is the last series of Battlestar? Is it 4?

Seen both series 4 listed and 'the final season' listed, but not sure if 4 is the final series?

I Lost (/coat) interest with Lost at the end of series 2, I just thought the story of the 'tailies' was so boring and dragged on for ages (then most of them got killed off anyway!)

Battlestar ended on series 4 technically. Although it was split into 2 parts of 10 episodes each with quite a gap inbetween. In America they are called 4.0 and 4.5 (and sold together) and in the UK they are called Series 4 and Series 5 (and sold separately).

Can I add 'The Shield' is fantastic?

I was looking forward to the shield, then discovered that those wonderful schedulers decided to play one each evening, which basically meant it just started filling up the Sky+ box, and after a few weeks just ended up deleting all the one's it had recorded and the series link. I just wish schedulers would sort things out, we ended up missing an episode of Bones because in the middle of the series they just decided to show two episodes back to back, and Lost skipped one week to then a few weeks later have the season finale air back to back.

I've yet to not watch a program due to the ending but I have given up on some programs due to the mess schedulers make, it's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to getting Apple TV when we move (I'd be even happier if you could rend a series and be given like a month to watch it, rather than buying them)

The Shield series 1-6 are all 9.98 on Amazon. That's how we watch them, series 7 (the final series) comes out in a few weeks!

There were also some online episodes which didn't progress the main plot but served to further confuse the episode numbering.

There is a BSG : Razor. It comes with the UK version of series 4 (4.0). Was a standalone long episode that dealt with some of the backstory of the Pegasus - it featured some old school cylons :)

Ohhh I was pretty close. I'd still say it was worth watching BSG though, only thing I'd have changed was stopping it when Rosalin and the Adama were flying over the animals, the bits after that it did feel were just badly crammed in as badly as most "moral lessons" are.

I hated to whole spritual ending - Just tying up the backstories, mysterys and journeys the characters took with 'It was actually God doing it all' was weak in my opinion.
