Mission Impossible 4.

M.I. 4 is the best M.I. film by some way and the best pure action movie since Casino Royale.

watching it still supports tom cruise though, right? :/

Guy has weird religious beliefs, but he's not alone in that! He's always been a decent actor though and generally stars in good films (and some duds). It's not like he's Adam Sandler or any of those other American 'comics' who only star in vehicle movies that showcase there own brand of terrible slapstick.

Can't name a poor Tom Cruise film offhand, and some like Top Gun and Risky Business are absolute classics.

I recently rewatched 'Days of Thunder' and that was pretty awful! I also hate, absolutely hate 'Interview with a Vampire' (Tom is about the only thing remotely decent thing in it).
That's about it, although I reckon 'Cocktail' wouldn't have aged very well - so i'll avoid ever watching it again!

Shamed to say I have never seen Days of Thunder. Yer Cocktail also suffered from having that boring Ausie bloke in it didnt it?

Maybe for the man amongst us cars and engines its an ok movie, it is basically Topgun with cars (Nascar), Nicole Kidman is the Kelly Mcgillis and Tom goes through having to find himself again (sounds familiar right). Robert Duvall carries it well. I loved it 22 years ago but i kind of chuckle over it now, but will be one of my classics.
Looking forward to MI4 though.

every time i see tom in a film, i remember that while he's a complete tool off screen, he's damn good on it.
Thanks for the tip. i'll go see it.

He gets to do his three main things that he's built he's acting career around in MI4.

- Run fast.
- Climb something tall.
- Flash his smile.

Enjoyed every TC film I have ever seen, right back to The Outsiders.

He also has a habit of getting his co-stars oscars :) Colour of Money, Rainman et al

seriously funny in Tropic Thunder, as was Robert Downey jr

It will be a sad day when the big spaceship comes and takes him home....

hote it comes for Travolta first :)

TC always seem to get a lot of flack and I don't understand why along with all the veiled "he's a fag" comments.
I have always read that he gives 100% and I have always at least enjoyed any film he has made.
MI4 looks like a really solid action film.
