Anyone else been watching this? It's damn good stuff. I know this because i have actually watched six 45 min episodes of it and i haven't thought "meh" and turned it off at any point. (like i did with homeland... which is arse btw)

Highly recommend

Still getting over the mid season finale of The Walking Dead - god what an episode, I couldn't catch my breath at one point, it was so exciting and I've never had that in a TV show before ( Maybe RoS first time around.) Homeland isn't for me, never even started it as it seemed like the type of stuff that bores me. Is Mob City real life gangsters? I love Boardwalk Empire but the liberties they take with the lives/personalities of the historical figures is criminal (pun intended). Luciano was one of the cleverest, most intelligent men of his generation but Scorsese has him as an illiterate thug. Not quite as bad as the Borgias, mind, which killed of historical figures in their early thirties that in real life lived to ripe old ages :)

Just give it a watch bud, i'm only recommending because i find it good.

I dont know what else to say because i cant stand walking dead.. first season was great and i've watched the rest of it but i watched the entire 3 season by fast forwarding with intermittent stops to see if anything was happening to any of the characters i actually cared about, which was basically just the zombies. Even egg from this life couldn't make me watch it in real time.

The story of it and the characters.. they are all weak. Dialogue is all forced moans and they use peril instead of plot to keep people watching. I've tried, i really have.. but i find it hard to even force myself to sit through the dialogue, it feels like they've stopped trying.

Cast of Mob City are pretty good, its almost like a "B Team" or budget deal of actors that were snapped up at a car boot in bulk but like the Mighty Ducks..

<spoilers ahead if you haven't watched The Mighty Ducks>

maybe they think its now or never and they pull it out the bag
<end of spoilers>

I watch both Homeland and The Walking Dead and while I quite like both neither are top tier for me. I agree with Emmon about The Walking Dead faults - but I can enjoy it purely as pulpy TV. Homeland is well acted but is getting worse each season.

I've heard good things about Mob City but unfortunantly I really don't like the American Gangster period of history - I tried to get in Broadwalk Empire, I could see it was a good show, but they era doesn't do anything for me at all (Same with Theme - I just don't like Jazz music).

I did quite enjoy the first season of The American's recently - but not really found anything to scratch that 'Breaking Bad' inch yet though.....better call Saul.

Vikings is coming back, plus for me. Getting in to the Almighty Johnsons, despite the crap acting and really weird NZ accents. Its a bit of a rip off of American Gods in some ways, well the basic premise is quite like Gaimans book. 2nd series of Arrow is weak compared to season 1, and bringing back Barrowman is a huge mistake, campest super villain ever.

Just started watching Homeland to fill the gap left by The Walking Dead, Vikings & Game of Thrones, so far so good.

Thought the Almighty Johnsons was typical pap myself.

My eldest boy watched Arrow, but only if no-one is there to laugh at him he says! lol, he likes but says it is so corny even he is embarrassed to watch at times.

Watching The Black List, now that is good.

Well, I am only on episode 8 or so of the first season of Arrow, but so far I like it. As far as John Barrowman being the campest villain ever, have you ever met the man? He is the walking incarnation of camp and his scenes on Arrow are the most serious I have ever seen the man be. ;-)
