It's Monday again.
Three of us will be wanting to do Thunderhead Keep, although we probably won't start that until about 8:30.

I shall be on at 7PM if anyone wants help with anything.

Never mind mate. We got Usagi's necro through a couple of missions up to Thunderhead Keep anyway. We tried TK with 4 henchmen, but it's pretty much impossible with warrior henchies because you just can't pull back to a safer spot - they just carry on attacking.

Now if there were 5 of us, then that only means 3 pick-ups. They might just do as they're told ;)

It's Monday again.

I shall be on at around 7PM as usual.
Obviously Coalman will not be with us tonight, so if Taz wants to do Thunderhead we can start the main mission pretty much right away.

Ember Light Camp mission is pretty easy, and I'm on a roll now with the Ring of Fire mission. I doubt we'll do ALL THAT though.

I will be on as usual, can help at THK with Mo/Me or W/Mo. Just completed THK with my monk this morning, with a full party of henchmen!! The hardest bit imo is when the mursaat monk boss makes an appearance, he can take a major beating - there was no way i could take him down with all the other stuff beating up my henches so i took out everything except the boss first, seemed much easier, Confessor wotsit was a joke after the monk boss fight. None of my henchmen died and i even managed to keep one of the dwarven soldiers alive for the entire mission.

Being a secondary Me i took along two disrupt spells and backfire, that helped tons when fighting the mursaat elementals/necro's/monk boss.

Seems to be a general rule in all cases. Take the boss down last as they can usually take a beating compared to the rest. Meanwhile the rest still do some punishing damage.

My Ranger's Disrupting Shot is quite handy too. If I'm nicely buffed I get right up close so I can get a better chance of getting the interrupt in on short casting time spells. (Arrow flight time from a distance can make you miss the cast.)
Orison of Healing is still really difficult to interrupt with such a short casting time. But as it recharges so quickly it tends to get used regularly. A little guesswork as to when it's coming sometimes pays off.

Just got bought a new Me skill that disables a 'skill' for 47 seconds (with my current domination level), looks nice for those pesky monk bosses :)

Me and Taz spent maybe 10 minutes taking down a Monk boss last night at Abbadon's Mouth :( who had an elementalist boss with him.

I've just discovered the Necro skill Malaise which causes energy degen. Quite nice though of course the monk can Remove Hexes.

Seemed much harder than when I went through with my interrupting ranger.
Interrupts are good :)

Hopefully we'll manage another sesh tonight as well.

Steve, if me and Taz fail Abaddon's Mouth AGAIN before you arrive don't be surprised at the bad moods when you arrive. If I was a little tetchy last night that was the reason. Nothing personal. I just hate slogging away at a mission and failing after 2 hours.

Note to self. Kill the Mursaat Guardians first. Arggh!

Only made Monday this week - still had a few PC problems which only appeared after. Apprantly there is a bug in the NForce onboard LAN which causes major problems found out about it on the WoW site as this was the game that shew it up most. Also for some reason the new M/B only saw the processor as a 1.15 instead of the XP2600 it is. GW & WoW didn't notice so shows how good they r but got fed up with youngest complaining about Lag in Bf2 & CS.Source etc so had to manually config the FSB & Multiplier (11.5 & 166Mhz - Barton core speeds) Holiday next week so will have more time as long as I get the jobs I have planned done - laying tiles on fire hearth & flooring in upstairs toilet so that Monday am taken up - rest of week PC gaming which is much more important.

Oh by the way sorry about the TS problems I was causing after I finnished I checked the wiring & found I had swapped some of the wires eg Mic into Line-in which explains why it was loud :) only had one speaker channel actually plugged into a speaker socket other was in the mic & 3rd was in the SPf? socket. Must have been tired when I plugged them in as it was the last thing to be done

We DO tend to take PCs for granted don't we. They're a bugger when they play up :(

No worries about the TS. Once you turned mic sensitivity down it was fine. We do have to ask after all ;)

I was definitely a grumpy bear last Monday. Must apologise. These last two missions really are a PITA. Taz is exasperated too.

Sometimes you have to find something else to do to get over it. I've been skill capturing myself.

We should be able to get you up to Abbadon's mouth easily enough. I know those missions back to front now :) Then join in the pain ;)

See you next week.

I dont understand how you guys are stuck .

I did both the last two missions first time round with henches (W/Mo).
Failed 2nd last mission once with my monk but then went and did it again and the next with henches again (Mo/Me).

The only hard bit i can remember are the monk mursaat bosses, took alot of beating & some lucky guesses with disrupts on my warrior, absolute joke on my Mo/Me though, just use that Me spell that disabled the next skill they use in the next 5 seconds for X seconds (had mine at 47 seconds).

I think we tried it without the ability to interrupt. It really is important on these missions.

It's actually a lot WORSE with TWO players and henchmen, since they get confused about who they should be following.

With PUGs the problem is fainhearts who just quit. This has happened without fail with ALL PuGs I've tried the last two missions with. And it's usually the warriors who quit as well!

We've only tried on a couple of nights. It's not like I've been banging away at these missions continuously for two weeks. I've been capturing skills most of the time.

Diversion - s'pose I'll put that on DS (Ne/Me). Good call.
