MtG Workstation

Found this very interesting piece of software today, while randomly checking out this thread on MtG Salvation, listing the best MtG software out there.

MWS is the only software I've ever found (apart from the official Shalamar game, circa '97 ?) that lets you play MtG offline and thus test your decks. It's database and deck builder is also very, very good.

But, the most interesting part is that other folk have managed to get other CCG's working on it, including LoTR and Netrunner (!!). L5R (!!!!!!!!) is also in development (no updated news on that for a while it seems) as are Star Wars, YuGiOh, Hacked, On the Edge and others. Not tried any of these yet, but will be interested to see how they come out.

Detailed install info for MWS here. First and main steps are to install MWS and then the gamepack (cards info etc). Download MWS from the first link (optional download) and Gamepack (or alternate CCG) from game databases at MWS.

As an aside, Wizards is producing MtG Online III for release this summer.
