Ok guys I'm going to try to give you the useful bits of information that I know about Nek Castle. Quite a bit of this comes thanks to Emap. Note that I'm trying not to write a spoiler but to give you some hints and tips to make life a little easier.
Firstly Nek Castle being an instance has a zone lockout timer. This timer starts when you enter the zone. Depending on whether your time in the instance is judged as a success of failure you will be given a different amount of time that you have to wait before re-entering. If you successfully complete the zone then you will have to wait longer.
Ok so getting down to the specifics of Nek Castle. You will be considered by the mechanics of the game to have had a successful trip if you kill any of the sisters and/or Lord Everling. What this means in practise is that you can go into the instance and rattle off a few of the instance quests (e.g. the master chest quest (I'll mention it in detail later)) then zone out and in to reset everything. Obviously if you're after the really good loot then you'll want to be killing the sisters and every named you can lay your hands on, but if you're camping Billy for the mask quest you don't really need to kill any of the sisters (or Everling until you've done all the Billy bits).
Master Chest Quest: The quest 'The Aroma of Undead' is the so called master chest quest. It can be found in the pile of books on the floor in the main library almost opposite the entrance to the secret room. A group can progress on this quest together right up until the final point, (the final point being where you will have to touch the stove in the kitchen). At the final point only one person complete the quest. The reason for this is only one master chest can be spawned (as far as we are aware) per instance. This is where you should note the above paragraph.
The Mask Quest: Just a quick note, (which is relavent to the paragraph about zoning in and out again) once you have done the Billy killing you are required to run around then kill a list of specific things. One of these mobs is an insta spawn outside the library. It would appear that this mob will only spawn once per instance so if people get left behind it will be neccessary to zone out and in again to reset this pop.
Library Access: To gain access to the Library you need to do 'The Red Marble' quest. In order to do the 'Red Marble' quest you must first do the one involving the black marble.
Bypassing the Sisters: If you have the Guestroom Key then you do not have to kill the sisters to get into the inner part of the castle and to Everling. I can't remember what the quest name is off the top of my head.
Ok hope this helps a bit guys, gonna hit the hay now and see you in game in about 8 or 9 hours.
