Still cant see how they can justify the price for Digital copy when you can order it from play for �10 less

not a question of justifying it, its a question of having to have it a certain amount higher than the retailers or the retailers start refusing to sell it altogether - and that then massively cuts their market.

If it was the same price I might go Digital though I still prefer the disk and they would still get the collectors editions retailer only. To me its pure greed for those who cant get to a store on day of release.

I have bought plenty of digital downloads (mainly MMO's) who's price was reasonable. This is not.

How is it greed? You pay for the privilege of having the game downloaded, patched and ready to go the instant the servers come online. No need to go out and buy it.

You can pay less from an online retailer or go to a store.

It's hardly Blizzard's fault if someone can't get to a store on the day of release. If they were charging a high price and not allowing retailers to undercut or not allowing retailers to sell it at all, that might be greed.

From what I gather, as Zeus said, it's the normal retailers who force these prices, not the digital download retailers. The argument goes that if it's cheaper to download than to buy from a proper shop, no one would buy it from the shop.

Its not the fact its more expensive its the amount more it costs. There are no costs fvor media packaging delivery etc yet they charge over 25% more.

im sitting pretty on my �25 to the door from Amazon I guess :) but then it has been on order since October 2010!!!!

However If i had to choose between a trip to say HMV or Game tomorrow vs getting it online, for the slightly more itll cost id go online because i dont work in a major city and im travelling a lot this week so the convenience vs cost to me pays off.

you have to ask yourself - what are you will to pay to play the game the second it launches? If you cannot guarantee your preorder will arrive then its �44.

I balanced up waiting for the posty (anytime after 11) and a quick trip to the nearest game-selling shop which opens at 9. Prebooked mine last weekend.
