Hmmm wasn't as keen on Smith, but I still watch them, crap as most are, like a dirty filthy secret lol

Matt is my second to my all time fave Tom Baker. Give it to Withnail - he is the only man for the job.

Richard E Grant has just been in Doctor Who (and was abit rubbish to be honest, even since those unbarable Argos adverts he's been going downhill!). And it obvisously won't be John Hurt, because he's just to big. I hope they pick a relative unknown again, someone without to much baggage from other known roles.

Matt's Doctor + Amy and Rory has been my favourite period of new Who by a mile, they just seemed to click together - haven't enjoyed Clara anywhere near as much, maybe it's the correct time for Matt to leave. (I'm hoping Clara will go too).

Im hoping, with him going, that it will tie the whole Clara/Dr thing up. Maybe thats how he regenerates? After something happens to them both maybe?

As Janie said, the whole Amy Pond & the doctor part was brilliant. Lets hope we get some more of that and bring back real bad baddies. :)

Don't see a problem with the fact that he has just been in it - you can get round anything if your a good enough writer. I get that some of his recent roles have not been good vehicles, and I'd include Dr Simeon in that. The unknown thing is a pretty good call though, most of the good doctors were relatively unknown when they took the part - Pertwee had been a bit part actor in stuff like Carry on films and The Avengers, was playing the DR made him a household name. Same with Patrick Troughton and Tom baker. Time for a female Dr?

It's been a bit of a Meh season for me. The story lines just arn't that great, maybe some more double episodes as cramming some stories into a 30min slot just doesn't do them justice. I dunno, I also prefer the music from 2 seasons ago too.

They're just jamming in more special effects to make up for tosh :(

Benedict Cumberbatch or Sean Pertwee would be good.

Shame Clara is staying. Shes not as natural as the others.

I agree with Cumberbatch, but he's too big a star now I'd imagine. I don't think it will be an older doctor these new episodes are too runny abouty. :)

They're too CBBC for a older actor. Still feel they going to spin Clara off to her own show to replace Sara Jane. And while I love Dr who I just wish it would end now before the BBC fuck it up anymore, or sell it off to a company that know what it's doing

I'd like to see a less 'busy' Doctor next. We've had Tennant and Smith who were both quite manic in the role - and while I've enjoyed them alot I'd like to see a more reserved Doctor this time around.

I'm not keen on the idea of a female Doctor to be honest, I'm not sure many are - but the papers will keep harping on about it no doubt..

I quite like the guy who played Baltar in the new Battlestar - James Callis.

Slightly more unrealistic but utterly brilliant would be Bill Murray or Peter Dinklage!!!

Patrick Stewart would be awesome!!
