It does.....but......on mine, P4 3.4, Ati X800 card (bit old I know), 1 gig RAM there is a lot of HD access in populated areas and settings have to be medium.
Having said that its still the most attractive MMORPG I have played and the graphics add immersion rather than provide a interface. Overall its a very pretty game
There doesn't seem to be too much difference between Ultra High and High. Its more significant if you look at some of the main character faces like Aragorn for example.
Those screenshots seem to have a lot of AA enabled and so you'd need a good rig for that but even so it is one of the best looking MMO's I've seen from an environment point of view. Going into a Marsh or a Forest is a thing of beauty with regards to lighting and effects. The character models can be a bit iffy though.
Probably prettiest of all the MMORPG's I played, pisses all over Vanguard for performance as well. Mild stutter in busy town at times with 2gb ram, but nothing that remotely bothers me.
Here a pic from my trip to Rivendell (assuming i've managed to attach it right), this game has some of the most amazing graphics i've seen in a MMORPG, and they've done a great job making the locations look right as well.
yea i ran to rivendell when i was 15 in the hope of finding something usfull to help my scholarship, didn't find anything but fell in love with the place and want to move their. then found out i couln't afford to live there
still go there to train my lore master as somehow it just feels right to train there as a lore master
