Just thought I'd drop a note here to say the open Beta for the 360 version is well and truly underway and I'm loving it. AFAIK, the characters are going to get wiped, but then it's due to end on Wednesday anyway...
Very, very similiar in style to PSO (Phantasy Star Online - DC, Gamecube). Love the art direction, but the graphics engine is pretty much a direct port of the PS2 version by the looks of it. However, being able to play it with voice chat, etc. over XBLive is a nice bonus...
PS2 & PC versions will share servers (which are divided into EU/US and Japan), and the 360 will be seperate but worldwide.
I'm on NTL and I couldn't connect to the bloody PSU servers until I found this tip in the PSU forums:
Set your 360 network DNS settings to manual and enter 4.2.2.1 as your primary and 4.2.2.2 as your secondary and you should have a much easier time getting on.
Annoyingly, the US version is out soon and the EU one isn't out till late November
