I still occasionally drop in to play it! The good old days of huge battles and big outfits were great fun, especially loading the entire outfit into bombers and indulging in a bit of formation bombing. The caves thing spoiled it, so hopefully that will get the bullet in Planetside 2

I loved the original, hated PS2 though, seemed to either involve death within 10 seconds of spawning, or loads and loads of running trying to find a fight

It's a shame about PS2 though, they seem to have removed the ability to defend a base, and a reason to defend a base, and some of the more fun parts of PS1 (like ninja ANT drops into a base to refill it with energy from a Galaxy (And the size of the Galaxy doesn't make sense anymore as you can't drive any vehicles in the back of it)

Playing it on and off with mates.

Agree with Gottaa, feels like there's a lot that was in PS1 which is missing from 2 atm. Hopefully more stuff should get added back in.

Main gripe with the game is the very slow progression.

Obviously they want people to spend money instead where possible but if they put people off with the slow progression and ludicrous amount they charge for station cash normally not sure how long they're going to last.
