Poems...

Was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a poem, or a set of poems that could effectively be turned into a piece of music. I was chatting to a friend yesterday, and she asked me to come up with something... couldn't hear what she was saying that well, but don't think there is any kind of theme. All I thought of was something by Yeats, because I figured a poem that changed pace quite a lot could be more effectively transposed into music. If anyone has any idea of something that fits that bill, but isn't politically charged, I would have thought that would be a lot better.

P.S: Oh, and it would be ideal if the copyright had expired on it, because I think it might be for charity rather than a commercial venture.

I've written poems that have been set to music.

As far as poems by famous writers are concerned, the one that comes to mind instantly is Tarantella by Hilaire Belloc.

Yeats would be a good choice as would most things by T.S. Eliot and Betjeman.
