Sad day for us Cream and Blues Incorporated fans. Another bit of youth withers away

I dont like.. no.. i hate the "oh this person blah blah better than x person insert instrument etc" for music, especially rock music its almost like you have to beat a person with knowledge of labels, release dates etc to prove that you are more worthy of the music. But before my ex townsended my electric guitar i was learning sunshine of your love, i knew of Cream and that i liked that song enough to try and do it. But i never knew band members names other than Clapton.

Today i find out that this guy died and that he composed it.. aw shit. I dont care about the massive cliche of a general consensus of what was technically better than the rest, like they are trying to min/max music like a Civ5 turn plan or RTS build order.. all i know is that i liked the song and the guy who made it happen just died.

So thanks for the music bud, even though i knew of you before i knew your name. You made music that made people learn to make sound

I have a usb key for the car with all my favourite music on it. Cream and The Doors get hammered - played at least once a week. Drives the missus to distraction as I'd listen to that key and never put anything else on.
