As folks on here predicted, I had my order for Shadowbane cancelled by Gamespot - though not until they were shipping it out last week.

The idiots still filled my order for the strategy guide though so I get to read about it

It looks a really good game. Helluva a lot of depth and options in classes, crafting and in the item system.

Apparently its possible to play it by entering a US address instead of your cards real address.

Not sure how this is working and it probably amounts to fraud but some folk in the UK are apparently playing it by entering a US college or university address.

Diversity in classes is probably the best so far in an MMG. The rune system really allows for a lot of customisation although tbh in beta I had trouble finding the runes I wanted but they may not have been implemented at that time.

Its a strange game though in regards to who it may appeal to. There is no quest system, no crafting(unless you get a town and a blacksmith to create stuff for you) , just leveling and then guild warfare. The guild warfare and PvP are good enough to carry the game on their own but they are aiming at a really niche market and it'll be interesting to see if they keep the interest and last.

interesting my mates in the states already offered to order and pay for the game if i money order over say 6 months of money for monthly payments :/

luckily for me that would avoid the fraud crap hehe as it would be totally legit

not yet ive heard lag wise game wise its still ****e m8 and thats from a fair few of my yank mates

im also playing AC2 and enjoying it hehe i think ill give it a couple of months to see if they are still thriving and having fun then i may take the plunge..

People in my DAoC guild that went to play it came back pretty quick saying its promising but way to laggy/bugged. Tales of entire cities dissapearing for no reason is a pretty major bug. Mind you if Jordheim disspeared Mythic would just say "working as intended, use tactics, kthx"

hehehe you are right, it has that 'unfinished' feel about it still, but yes there is protential if these things fixed.

Let me know where your Yank m8's are playing as I could so with a decent group, wanna lvl to 10 to be a ranger and see if bows work better than DAoC
