Sir Baldrick

Rowan Atkinson only got a CBE.

Robinson, 66, said: Im thrilled, flattered and a little gobsmacked to have received this recognition from my country. Ill use my new title with abandon to highlight the causes I believe in, particularly the importance of culture, the arts and heritage in our society, and the plight of the infirm, elderly and their carers."

I also pledge that from this day on Ill slaughter all unruly dragons, and rescue any damsels in distress who request my help.

I used to like Tony Robinson, but having worked with a lot of people who have been on Time Team with him, the stories I have been told about him and the manner with which he thinks he should be treated by people over the course of the programme are not endearing. I think his head will get a tad bigger, but in archaeology he's a little man surrounded by (generally) knowledgeable people. God help you if you utter the word "turnip"...

Wouldn't supprise me, I think thats true of a lot of "entertainment" people. But over the years he has made me laugh like a drain, and for that I thank him. Time Team has been one of my passions for 20 years, but I must admit, since very early on you could see that he irritated the Archeologists with his ranking finds over information as the main thrust of the dig. I know why he did, trying to put himself in the place of the viewer, thinking that he had to keep us interested, but he could have credited our intelligence a bit more.

Anubis have you caught any of the Dig Village stuf Tim Taylor and some of the rest of the team are doing now? (Available through youtube if you've not seen it). Its good but lacks in presentation a bit, someone to focus it all. It sprawls a bit, but great to hear Mick or Stewart - I could listen to either of those two read the phone book.
