Yes I quit SPS tonight.

I know some people were miffed that I didnt say anything before 'just quitting'.

Id say around 80% didnt know who my Teshnara was, even though it said in my notes!

I left because I am not a raider, SPS is a raiding guild no matter what anyone says. I didnt fit in with the guild.

If I talked or asked for help, I was ignored because I dont play often enough ( I have a life outside WOW) and cos Im not high enough.

I know certain people slagged me off behind my back...before finding out who I was in ClanUK.

I will be going back to our own tiny guild...ClanUK cos I am proud, even if I am in a minority to be in our guild. Bert can you invite me again..please hunny

I saw you quit last night catz and Im ashamed to say I didn't realise it was you,but now I DO know who you play as I will put you on my friends list, if you do need help with anything a lvl 75 warrior can handle dont be afraid to give me a shout.I still believe you are wrong about SPS though its far from a raiding guild, they/we raided 3 times a week near the end of TBC and that wasn't mandatory and the reason it was so much was because everyone had done most of the quest content and had multiple level 70 characters(myself not included).I have also been in Zenith (which is a raiding guild) so I do know the difference.

I think some of what you wrote in your message doesn't put SPS in a good light (my opinion) saying stuff like "having a life outside of wow" seems a bit childish to me and to be honest some of these "WOW lifers" just might be in the same situation as you and dont have the time to play, so maybe they are being a bit selfish with their game time (I myself feel like this sometimes I'm not ashamed to admit it).As for the slagging you off behind your back I find that hard to believe, I have never heard you slagged off before.I am sorry If my reply seems a bit nasty/bitchy/nitpicking/whatever but I feel slagging off SPS in a place where a good part of the guild wont see it is a bit unfair.

I respect your loyalty to your guild so please respect mine with what I have said. What I said earlier about help being there if you need it still stands though :)

Had to copy and paste this as Quote wouldnt work for some reason.....

'Thanks. I appreciate that'

....'Its the same people in the same instances/raids etc. I have asked (with Shenira my ClanUK char) to join on some raids, when I could do them and have either had no reply or been told that the Im not needed/too many in group etc. This is what happened to the ClanUK guild and why it fell apart. Then everyone moved to SPS so they could raid/be part of bigger group.'

....'Im 45...think Ive gone past the childish stage'

and to be honest some of these "WOW lifers" just might be in the same situation as you and dont have the time to play, so maybe they are being a bit selfish with their game time (I myself feel like this sometimes I'm not ashamed to admit it).

....'I could read everything that people said....you forget Bert is my other half. I saw exactly that was wriiten..especially the bits that said as I didnt speak in guild chat then I wasnt I wasnt someone who joined in...How outspoken am I? Yesterday I didnt talk...although I did say Hello and go no response what so ever...and before you can say 'well everyone was busy' there were 24 players on...how can all 24 miss a Hello?
Only 1 person from SPS messaged me to ask why I had left. Now I thought a good GM/Officer would have at least messaged to ask why. Maybe that says something about the leadership?'

I respect your loyalty to your guild
'YOUR guild??? Think ClanUK is what the forum is not SPS. I have not used the SPS forum for years and have no idea what the web address is or what my name/password would be on there anyway.'

so please respect mine with what I have said
.....'As I hope you respect that what happened to me is not me being in A) in hormonal mode, B) throwing my toys out of my pram and C) Against SPS or any other guild.'

That is kind of how I felt about SPS, not that I was ever in the guild. Just a feeling gained from viewing the web site material.

Best wishes and good luck to those peeps in SPS though.

Thanks for the wishes there Jett, despite what impression you might have from the SPS Forums, the guild is not a "Raiding Guild", its a "Guild that Raids", as Max (Aaelon) pointed out raiding was never a guild mandate, at most it was three times a week (usually less), totally optional and the guild has not raided in over five weeks, does that sound like a raiding guild, I think not.

A guild is like any other entity, one of the key factors being, "What You get out of something, is directly related to what you put in", maybe thats why you did not feel a 'Part of SPS', Catz.

Its sad that you left without a post on the SPS forums, not surprising as its somewhere you have not posted on since April 2007 (see my earlier point about what you put in) , you could have obtained the URL easily enough had you wanted to.

SPS offerred you a guild tag on Terenas, and having accepted that membership, its a shame you did not show its members the curtesy of a post upon leaving, I would expect better of anyone involved in Clanuk, for whilst I may not play WoW under the Clanuk guild tag, Clanuk for me will always be bigger than any one game, it was the first place (Diablo I 1997) a like minded group of people got together online, with ideas to play fair and respect other gamers and long may that be so.

I trust you will find what gaming experience works for you, with "Your life outside WOW", its your time and your subscription to do with as you want. I still do not see why you found it necessary to even mention SPS here, as you say this is a Clanuk Forum.
