Soloing group mobs?

Well, with the 11% improvement in heavy armour mitigation, I considered to try out an old pasttime of mine - bashing in the heads of those funky green group ^^ mobs.

Does anybody know if a 28 Pally can do that? I read that Moorgard is doing that, does anybody else know if that is viable? Anybody know any mobs that would be good for that kind of play?

The last time I tried that (at Level 16 or 17) I was slaughtered so fast that I never tried again... So I am not sure how viable it is to try. :)

Been solo-ing green group mobs and groups of mobs since the new patch. My initial thought was this was the new solo content :)

Done shriekers, clays and guards in RoV and green tree groups in Nek.

In any case, the loot drops are still far worse than if you did the same mobs in a group but hey, bonus XP, and its much more of a challenge.

I've been doing it with various mobs in TS such as some of the scarecrows and sundry undead at L25: seems to work well - mostly ;)

Was out again last night doing this, noticed that there now seem to be 3 green levels. Am a 33 Pally, greens were 28-30. I could take the 28s easily, the 29s were a bit harder and I haven't tried 30s yet.

I can't remember what level the green mobs in RoV were, think the dust shriekers are 28, 2 in group, single up, so not solo-able before this patch for a while. I would suggest steering clear of double-ups until you feel confident you can do groups of no-arrow and single arrow mobs.

There are still some mobs which hit harder than others. The new orc maruaders in Zek for example hit harder than the grunts of the same level, and you may have to run from a few fights at first until you find your feet again but essentially its bonus xp and should entail some risk, and I find it much more fun that its back in.

Additonally if you do a /respec some of the new traits and traditions are much improved (for example a better heal than blessed aid that is Adept 2) and will help a lot.

Uhm... What does that "better heal than blessed Aid" heal for? I doubt it is much better than the one I have, since it is Adept 3. ;-)

Thanks for the rest of the advice, though, I think I will try it out soon. :)

Yesterday my 21 (at the time) brigand was playing main tank to lvl 25 Rocks and crawlers in the dead river with a 25 templat and a 23 wizard. I had 1 death out of 10 or so mobs.

Half my armour is still light as I havent been able to find chain at a reasonable price or I am too low for the piece I do have.

I think they have increased the overall effect of AC not just for heavy armour thought I would guess that has had the most improvement.

Can't remember that name of the skill but it heals for 404 (at 33) compared to 375 and costs less power. The timer is the same as blessed aid however so you can't have both going which is annoying.

Thinking I should have chosen the option that gave me something similar to LoH but on 900sec recast instead of 1500, as that would have given me 3 more seconds fighting Lord Everling.
