Summer 2007 Transfers

"Tevez and Babel excited by Gunners interest".

Sorry Tevez old chap. I don't think the Arse will stump up the cash for you.

How much would he cost?

We have 16m from Henry, apparently 11m from Reyes (when he goes) 2m from Alialialialialialidaire. Henrys wages were 6mill a year (115K/week) so no doubt we would save a fair wedge of that with Tevez. Thats before any transfer funds are taken into account.

Maybe it's just very wishful thinking on my part but I can't see it being totally out of the question.

I think its just traditionally we won't pay through the nose.

I'm not sure if he has a buy out clause but what would the Hammers want for him? 15-20mil?

He's got offers from Real and Inter, atm :

Carlos Tevez has admitted he could be on his way to Internazionale in the summer.
Tevez played a vital part in keeping West Ham up last season, despite controversy over the legality of his transfer to Upton Park. In recent weeks the Argentinian has been linked with Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea, but he said today he would prefer a move to Italy.

"Inter is a great club," Tevez told Gazzetta dello Sport. "There is a true possibility that I will wear the Nerazzurri colours next season. It's also true that Real Madrid are interested in my services but my agent knows exactly how I feel about it - better Inter than Real."

"If he agrees to move to the Emirates Stadium, it will break Arsenal's transfer record, beating the 11m paid to Bordeaux for Sylvain Wiltord in 2000."

I thought Reyes cost about 15million?

Oh and Real Madrid have sacked Capello. That's one harsh job.

Me too though I wouldn't be happy with him and Ade buggering off to the African Nations for a month.

We should buy Owen as well and leave Fat Sam with 1 striker

Liverpool and Manchester United were last night put on alert when West Ham striker Carlos Tevez turned down a move to Inter Milan and expressed his desire to remain a Premiership player.

The 23-year-old Argentina international, who was instrumental in West Ham's successful battle to avoid relegation, is expected to leave Upton Park in the summer.

Inter and Real Madrid are among several clubs to have shown interest, but a statement from Tevez's representative, Kia Joorabchian, said last night: "Inter put a deadline on the decision and Carlos' heart is really in the Premier League." That could tempt United and also Liverpool, who last season signed compatriot Javier Mascherano.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are close to agreeing a fee for striker Fernando Torres that would smash the club's transfer record.

Atletico Madrid appear to have accepted Liverpool's offer of 20 million plus Luis Garcia, who is apparently happy to return to the Vincente Calderon Stadium where he spent a season before his transfer to Barcelona four years ago. The cash-plus-player deal would satisfy the 27 million release clause in Torres' contract.

I thought Milan told him they didn't want him.

Cut and pasted from a couple of posts on another forum :

I have read elsewhere that the tribunal has found 2-1 in favour of Sheffield United. The PL have asked for an adjournment while they decide what to do.

Apparently the WHU and Sheff UTD home and away games are on exactly the same days.

we've signed Da Silva from Zagreb. 73 goals in 100 games for them although admittedly in a weaker league. Lets hope its another Wenger special.

It really doesn't matter a fuck what the tribunal decide mate - they have absolutely no authority to enforce anything. Even if the Premier League took further action, that would be subject to more legal action from WHUFC which would run past the start of the season anyway, so its just not going to happen.

Looking at some footage on YouTube, he scores lots of tap-ins and is used to playing on shite pitches in crap weather.

If he can adjust to the Premiership we might be onto a winner.
