Reyes turfed out of Real apparently as a fee couldn't be agreed. Should be interesting to see how this goes.

Leicester are after Robbie Fowler.
Hope we don't get him, I doubt his heart would really be in it to be honest.

How desperate is poor old Jose Antonio. After hearing that Madrid want Robben he has apparently said that they could play together and getting Robben would not mean there was no place for him.

Even though he's big nancy I'd still take Jose over Robben.

Robben would do well over there tbh, he is a good exciting player just lightweight. Falling over when the wind blows is a prerequisite for la liga. Hope he goes, doesnt have the legs for the prem.

How are peoples pre-seasons going?

Theooooooo had a great game last night. TW14 imo. Eduardo looks very lively and Van Persie scored and came through it on the fitness front so its looking pretty good up front. Sagna impressed as well, he and Theo linked up well down the right. Ade still can't seem to hit a barn door so business as usual.

Looking very good on the Arse front. It never ceases to amaze me how Arsene can magic up these young guys out of thin air and they fit straight into the shape of the team.

Well Liverpool's games have gone fine so far, very experimental sides and most players seem to be taking it easy, so far the players who have impressed the most have probably been Pennant, who i'm hoping will have a real good season now he's settled in, and Voronin, who most forum ppl have been pleasantly surprised by.

Yesterday's game against Auxerre was won by 2-0, but was real stroll in terms of how tired the players looked, but apparently they had done some really hard training sessions already followed by a late afternoon game.

We've not seen much of Torres yet, as he is bit behind others in training after the spanish season finishing much later than ours.

Guess we'll learn much more from the friendlies as the season draws closer and whole team are all close to 100%.

Yeah, agree with Slainy. You never get a full strength side from Rafa in pre season. He always plays a different 11 each half and gives a lot of reserve and up and comings a run out. He even let our goalie play in midfield this time last year.

Very impressed with all the new signings, especially the free signing, Voronin.

Watched liverpools game yesterday, Nabil El Zhar impressed me the most, he was very lively. Not sure how Torres will do in the prem but he does look strong and I dont think the physical side of the english game will bother him.

Interesting stat the 4 big clubs have bought between them 20 big signings. Only 2 of these 20 are English (Sidwell and Hargreaves).

Man Utd will probably average 4 English players per game, Chelsea and Liverpool 3 and Arsenal maybe 1. Pretty depressing really, the scary thing is this is also now starting to filter down in the championship league as well.

Teh Irons have signed Llundberg. He will no doubt fit in well with our current policy of buying players that will then get immediately injured.

Hope you didn't pay too much for him mate. He's spent most of the last two seasons on the physio's table.

I know, hence my comment about him being prime candidate to get injured as soon as he joins, like Faubert, Upson, etc.

Chelsea pre-season has been pretty unexciting so far. Playing different sides each half and swapping around formation. Still we are unbeaten and the US teams are mid-season.

Will learn more from the next few games. We still have the Sheva problem with Mourinho refusing to play him as a striker and more of a winger. However we do this year i feel have sufficient cover in all positions baring a tottenham or Newcastle injury list!

Manure try to sign Tevez who's surrounded by controversy and illegal dealings and now they're crying about Liverpool making a possible illegal approach for Heinze.

:wtf:
