I know its not the same game I love, I remember getting a small army and zerging the hell out of enemies.

But heard some good things about this.

single player sounds very deus ex...
4 player coop though, that sounds interesting.

Hmm, "friend and mentor" wtf happened to kidnapped civilian turned into mindless killing drone? Not sure I like the idea of agent with personality. Oh and they seem to have forgotten that Syndicate already had a sequel that I found really enjoyable to play (though buggy as hell and resource intensive).
Now I do like the idea of being able to persuade others to turn their guns on themselves, that ought to be entertaining. Will probably wait for a Steam sale for this one though.
