Brutus
Hairier than thou
Zues advances upon the next door, the flame catching his polished armour and somewhat used sword as he prowls up the stairs, then, in true paladin fashion stands directly in front of the door and tries to peer in through a small port with vertical bars upon it.
Inside there is nothing but darkness, even with his helm he can not see within. This strikes him as unusual as he raises his sword in preparation for an attack that does not seem to be coming.
Aristotle moves alongside him and peers over his shoulder at the thick oak door upon it's strong iron hinges, he then picks his nose.
Krissa gently moves to look further up the stairs and can only see stairs winding into the distance before her, there doesn't seem to be any light ahead, but listening closely she can hear a very faint and distant female voice, and the sounds of something very large moving around.
This conjures images of the golem into all of your minds, more than one pair of eye's flashes around you all. The thought of fighting one of those again does not seem to appeal.
Legaless stands a few feet from Aristotle as Zifnab catches up behind him. Legaless found that he need not look to realise this as the smell of tobacco, wine and the sound of long robes caressing the stone steps behind him had informed him better than anything. He made a mental note to remind Zifnab to make a pleasant smelling spell.
Tanthe moves across near to Krissa and tries to strain his hearing, also managing to pick up the faint voices in the distance. He looks at Krissa quizzically. Neither of you can make head nor tale of what the sounds really are, only something large and a female voice.
The stairs are silent aside from the occasional belch from Aristotle, and the gentle, almost pleasant sound of the torches eating away at the fuel they burned upon. A slight crackling sound when one is this close.
Isleth slowly exited the room below and advanced to Legaless' side saying nothing but bulging slightly in a new place in his pack. Some of you exchange knowing glances and wry grins at this. Especially Legaless.
Without being asked he then moves over to the door and spends a few minutes examining it in silence, silence. Well that was because Aristotle was trying to remove some food from between his teeth with a rusty old dagger, this was not in the least nit pleasant to watch.
Standing away Isleth whispers into Zeus' ear, "It's open, there aren't any traps......that I could find".
So.......what now?
[OOC: And which one of you has the bloody book again?]
