Just don't mention that it was taken on a 3GHz machine with over a gig of RAM and an Uber vid card ;)

Actually, we've got it running quicker than the old medieval engine with some of the effects turned off, so hoefully you're not going to need the utter dog's knackers of a PC to run Rome in the end...

yeah, I've been really looking forward to this for a while...will be interesting seeing how accurate it is - I expect I'll have loads of problems with it :p

tbh it's fairly accurate. All other Total War games have stuck almost religeously to fact, even when this reduced the 'fun' factor of the game. Rome has taken a few liberties with history, but only where it improves the game itself, and never without good cause.

yeah, it wouldn't really have influenced my enjoyment of the game, unless the changes made were gratuitous... if they've stuck as closely as you say, then it'll make it more interesting for me, but I'd probably get it anyway as I've really enjoyed the series :)
